Embarrassing moments in Black history

This is a reply I recently sent someone:

I didn't watch that idocracy that was "American Gangster" either, but I (unfortunately) saw all the BET ads for it ... just the way they presented the show and just the fact that they would do this show to acknowledge these people, tells me that there was some glorification going on ... so sad. There was some quote I heard in an ad, it was one of the most ignorant things my ears have captured.

Yes, BET is an embarrassment to the Black community ... what happened to the good ole days of Teen Summit (and YSB magazine), Bev Smith, Tavis Smiley, and Donnie (assuming you're in my age range). I will never forgive Mr. Bob Johnson for selling out. I guess the price tag on his soul was $1.44 billion dollars? (So cheap)

Sadly, I don't get TVOne in my neck of the woods.

Well, I just wanted to do a Diana Ross on you and "reach out. and touch. somebody's hand. make this world a better place. if ya can." :)
