Bougainvillea

UPDATE: The stem I "stole" didn't live ... so in March 2006 (while out of town for a funeral) I brought a cluster of 3 bougainvillea's. It's now May, and it's still doing great ... easy to care for, lots of sun, not too much water, the plant likes stressfull conditions like crowded pots/containers. Funny though, now that I got the plant, it's not so exciting anymore ...

Such STUNNING color!!!! It's funny, because I've never noticed this plant before, and now it seems to be everywhere.

I snapped off a piece from a tree at a restaurant, and I'm hoping it will live (plant please please please please live). I'm so easy to please, I was sooo soooo soooo happy to get my plant!!!!!

BTW, I don't consider it "stealing" because number 1, plants, trees, and nature don't belong to man. It's highway robbery to sell a plant for any amount of money, when all plants can be started from just a stem, seed, roots, etc. They are meant to be shared. When [not if] my plant gets full grown, I'll share it with anyone who asks.

(no, pink is NOT my fav. color, in fact I never wear pink, but I've got nada against pink flowers ........ as you can see)
